This module is equipped with 1-1/4" slip by 1" slip fittings. it may be adapted to fit any size plumbing up to 1" using reducer bushings.Lifegard modular filters are easy to assemble using standard PVC fittings which we sell online. Any combination of modules can be strung together to form a complete filtration system. These systems can be run by an external water pump. Many hobbyists use modular filters in the return line from their aquarium reservoir for various applications.Rainbow Lifegard offers MECHANICAL FILTERS in three sizes. Single capacity filters feature the Lifegard exclusive combination mechanical/chemical cartridge with replaceable 20 micron filter pleats. The internal carbon chamber can hold 3 oz. (86 grams) of Lifegard Pelletized Activated Carbon or other media. Carbon can be easily rinsed while inside the chamber. Double and Triple capacity feature mechanical cartridges only. Water is forced through the filter pleats under pressure, trapping particles from 20 micron down to 5 microns.Inlet is 1 1/4" slip and outlet is 1" slip. Dimensions are 18" High X 7" Wide X 4 3/4" Deep. Recommended aquarium size is up to 100 Gal.
